Calcium supplements can fill the gap between the amount of calcium supplemented by your diet and the amount your body needs every day. The recommended amount for most adults is 1,000 mg per day, but it increases to 1,200 mg per day for women over 50 and men over 70.

Truebasics advance calcium tablets or any other calcium supplements do not cause kidney stones if taken as per the recommended daily dose. However, if intake exceeds 1500 mg/day, the risk of developing kidney stones increases.

CCM is the most bioavailable form of calcium, which means it is easily absorbed by the human body. Also, CCM does not increase the risk of kidney stones.

Generally, multivitamin supplements contain iron. Calcium and iron can bind together in the gastrointestinal tract and reduce absorption. Thus, for optimal absorption of a calcium supplement, avoid taking it with your multivitamin.
